The wait is killing me! I can't focus in school or anything for the matter. What can I do until I have my ultra sound due?

Try to put it out of your head. It's a waste of time to live in fear of something that may or may not be there. Try journaling, if you are artistic do some art (very therapeutic) play music if you do. Read a book, run or walk, go to the gym, do yoga. Anything to get out of your head. When is your ultrasound?

That's the thing. I don't know yet. My doctor said that the hospital will call to give the date and time of the ultra sound, but they still didn't. I hope they didn't forget me or anything because this is getting really bad for me. If its ok to...

Did you feel a very slight, barely notice-able pain that keeps going and coming back, like you could almost feel something in there without actually touching your breasts? Or just by the self breast exam?

Hi UY, I'm also very impatient. It's so hard waiting and not knowing. Call the docs ofc and ask about the ultrasound. You can ask questions. It's your body. Stay on it until they can give you an answer. I didn't have any pain with my cancer. I had...

Hi UY, I'm also very impatient. It's so hard waiting and not knowing. Call the docs ofc and ask about the ultrasound. You can ask questions. It's your body. Stay on it until they can give you an answer. I didn't have any pain with my cancer. I had a mammogram and that's how it was found. I had a needle core biopsy to confirm that is was cancer. I've had a lumpectomy and had 3 sentinel nodes removed with one micrometastatic. Call as soon as you can about the ultrasound. Having your questions answered will make you feel better. Please hang in there. Let us know what you find out.

I did have little occasional twinges in my breast but didn't really think much of it at the time. I did a self exam and felt a lump. I watched it for a bit and finally sucked it up and got it checked. If it has been more than a week since your dr ordered the ultrasound and they have yet to schedule it I would probably follow up with them. Waiting sucks but it's become a part of my life... Every time I have a test Ordered I have to wait to take it and then wait for the results. It sucks but I try not to let it control me... Keep us posted

You should call about the appointment. Hospitals forget and even lose the order. It has happened to me. As Sharon would say, you have to be your own best advocate. :-)

The waiting will be the worst part. You are strong enough to do this! I was diagnosised on Friday had surgery on Monday and still I am waiting... For stitches out, for hormone therapy, for radiation treatment. The thing is to remain informed and active in your treatment. Everyday will present a new challenge. You must create a support group even if it's only here online. We all understand it's not easy but we know you can do it.

Julie S is right, it's hard to wait but it does become part of our lives. Stay busy, keep active and keep calling until they get you scheduled, good luck to you
