If I get the silicone implants should I be concerned with the MRI's every other year and the radiation or anything else with this procedure health wise?

It's always best to check with your doctor, however, I have a silicone implant and have had several MRIs and scans. No one has mentioned any restrictions or cautions. I can not have mammograms with the implant. Keep the questions coming! Take care.

MRI's shouldn't be an issue but mammograms are a no. Too much squishing! Your surgeon should NOT recommend the silicone implants before radiation as there is a high probability of the implant getting misshapen. He/she should recommend a saline expander/implant to get you through radiation -- that's what I have. My final reconstruction will be in another 6 months or so.
