I've had 5 of my 12 Taxol, as time goes on there are days where I'm mostly in bed. I just don't have energy. Is this normal?

You're welcome Jayme. I'm glad I could help. I think as women...we only feel productive if we're doing something. I felt the same way. But thats not the case. We're in a marathon. And one that we're going to cross that finish line soon Jayme. We gonna win!!! Now...you rest. :). Bless you too...and lots of hugs.

Hi Jayme...yes, it's very normal. I did better on Taxol...except for the fatigue issue. There were a lot of days where I was in bed. The fatigue is the toughest side effect from chemo. And one that they don't have much control over. I was given the choice of 12 light doses of Taxol or 4 heavy dose dense treatments. I chose 4 heavy doses. Whew. My Onc gave me B12 (or B6 I can't remember) shots. It seemed to help a little. It's just part of the process. I know how hard it is. Just think...you have 6 more left! Then you can do the happy dance!!! I have 6 more radiation!!! Six is our number!!! We'll be rooting for you Jayme!! You got this!!! Hugs. :)

Thanks so much Diana. I feel so guilty just lying on my bed when it's such beautiful spring weather but the thing is, as much as I try to force myself to get up, I can't and I think the people around are tired of me saying "I need to lie down." Thanks so much for your reply. I really needed to hear your words. You're very special. Bless you, jayme

These are my feelings exactly. I'm so tired and in pain. Will I ever feel normal again?

I spent my days in bed while I was onTaxol. I also had awful nerve pain in my legs. It passes. Go outside when you can and don't feel bad about staying in. Open up your windows and enjoy what you can. Bless you.
