At what point does radiation cause cancer? How would you know that you have had enough? Yearly mammon, dentist, or other routine procedures will always be there. What is safe?

I also have wondered that same question. The breast I had BC in was very dense and I always had to have multiple ex-rays taken. The last time I had a mammogram before I was diagnosed.... they did 15 X-rays. My doctor wanted an MRI and the breast screening place told him I did not meet the insurance company's criteria. 7 months later I found a lump in my breast that was 2B IDC. I would advise any woman who has to endure more than a standard set of mammograms to demand an MRI. As for the cumulative effect, it all adds up. Just my personal opinion. Sharon
