Hello everyone, I just had a MRI done a few hours ago and when they gave me the injection it burned for a while, then after test was done I took the tape off my arm and noticed my arm was swollen how can I get the swelling down?

    Hi Cookie...I'm so sorry to hear that. :(. I am really curious about the reason for the swelling. It might be a good idea to call your doctor & let him/her know to get their advise & input just to be on the safe side.

      thank you Crystal that's what I did and even today it's a little soar but the swelling went down.

      Glad to hear. You may want to take an anti inflammatory ( Motrin , Aleve, etc) to help with the soreness. Before my injections, I would take something about an hour before the injection and it would help alot. Good luck and hang in there

      Why do you get an injection for the MRI? Is this a routine MRI for high surveillance?

      The injections I had was contrast material before my mastectomy. It is not routine
