Would someone shed light on my situation? I am 26 years old and found a lump (not round, but straight) right under my areola. It doesn't hurt and seems like it's attached under the skin. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Should I be worried?

      Maria,
All the advice you have received here is correct. I'm glad you have an appointment with your doctor. They will probably order some tests for you, primarily a mammogram. If you haven't had one before just ask any of us about them. They can be uncomfortable but they're not too bad.
Please keep us posted on how you are doing, and congratulations to your Mom!
