Does anyone know anything about the safety of radiation a second time on the same spot? Going through a second recurrence and the doctor and radiologist suggest radiation therapy. Any ideas?

I would get another opinon or two. I would do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions before you consent.

That is a toughie. I got first and second degree burns from radiation so I would probably go with mastectomy if I have a recurrence. I don't want to go thru that again...but everyone is different, I know radiation can cause cancer so you need to discuss this at length with your onco. Good luck.

My doctor said radiation a second time in the same place is not an option. I would do more research before agreeing
