Anyone who has expanders: Do yours hurt where they met the rib cage? Mine are so painful and I had them in 2 months ago.

My friends who have gone through the expander experience all reported pain to different varying degree's. Something really nice will come out of the entire uncomfortable journey. Hang in there because there is an end to it eventually.... and a nice set of "ta-ta's" too! Take care, Sharon

My expander has been in for 2 months. I have zero pain. Its as if nothing ever happened. They even had to cut a piece out of my chest wall (where the tumor was laying). I guess I'm real lucky. Im so sorry you are in pain. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi sorry you are in pain. I had expanders in for about 3 1/2 months, they are very uncomfortable. But hang in there, the regular implants are like night and day. The final implants are much more comfortable and look great.

I have one expander on the right side and it was done about 2 1/2 months ago. It's not super comfortable, but overall I don't mind it. However, I do have some discomfort near the rib cage. By the end of the day my bra hurts in that area. I just finished rads so I think I'll have this for at least 6 more months before the final implant.

I have had my expanders in for 8 months now and although they are no longer very painful they at still pretty uncomfortable. I am now waiting to have these ones removed and larger ones put in (in October) these ones are far too small and have capsulated. It will be quite a while before I can have my implants put in but I am told it is instant relief. Good luck with it, I know it is not nice but I am sure you will be happy with the result.
