I'm a five year survivor, and my oncologist told me that once the chemo stops, so do the side effects. The survivors I've spoken to say otherwise. I thank the Lord he rescued me from the cancer; He helps me manage the aftereffects every day. It would be helpful for women to understand that these are longlasting, and don't disappear with the end of treatment.

Watch for fever and she should increase her fluid intake if she isn't on a fluid restriction for some reason. Hope this helps

Learning About Breast Cancer
I've had the joint pain, higher cholesterol and "hot flashes" too. I've also experienced a loss of cognitive skills. It's much more of an effort now to remember things and multi-task.

I also have joint pain and stiffness, loss of libido (probably due the the quick onset of menopause) and night sweats. I also have experienced pain in my feet to the point that I have a hard time walking on my left foot. Lack of memory, etc.

I am also worried about the effect of chemo on the body and have been experiencing all the above symptoms and more.
Have any of you done a detox diet or tried any other methods to try and get these things out of your body? Anything work? I've heard skin brushing can help move your lymph along (which cleans things out), exercise of course, yoga, sauna?
There have to be answers so that all of us survivors don't suffer for the rest of lives.
