I had a routine mammogram in July....got called back. Found calcifications in right breast so did biopsy, which turned out to be cancer. The 'first' place I went, told me in left breast, what they saw,was 'most likely a lymh node, come back in 6 months'. After a second opinion at the Cleveland Clinic...it was a mass and cancer also. Thank God for that second opinion.
I had a biliateral lumpectomy on 9/28/12.My surgeon was wonderful...I had no lymph node involvement. My onco score was 0 ,so no chemo for me. I am to complete my 30th radiation treatment tomorrow....and am on arimidex for the next 5 yrs. I feel good. Had some burns, but not the fatigue I hear so many talk about. My husband has been a great support, going to many treatments with me. I am very grateful every day,it was discovered early.. This sure gives you a different perspective on life! Enjoy each day!!
