Your Story

I am widow, 55 live alone. I lost my job 2 1/2 yrs. ago. I went back to school and plan on graduating in December with an AAS degree in Medical Technology Information. I lost my insurance after I no longer could afford it, now I have cancer, no insurance, and will be loosing my unemployment when school is over at the end of November. I"m really scared. Where do I turn to when I have no income and am sick? My surgery is schedule for November 9. I will be having a bilateral mastectomy. I have not decided yet whether to have the reconstruction done or not, partly because of the financial issues and partly because I on my own. I have one son that lives close, but he has a family (four children, him and his wife together) to take care of and may also not be well. My other son lives in Nashville.
