I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in October of 2011 when I was 45 years old. I found the lump in my left breast. I found out that it was Stage 2A. I had a lumpectomy on my left breast and had the sentinal node as well as one other lymph node removed on December 19th 2011 done by Dr. Dahlia Sataloff in Philadelphia at Pennsylvania Hospital. It was reported that I had clear margins. I started chemotherapy on January 5th 2012 and my Oncologist is Dr. Patricia Ford in Philadelphia. I went on 4 rounds of AC/Cytoxin followed by 1 round of Taxol and 1 round of Taxotere. I only made it through 6 out of 8 rounds since I was HIGHLY allergic to the taxane family. Radiation completed mid-June 2012 (suffered 3rd degree burns, yikes!) Still battling this beast... as I just started the Metformin double-blind clinical trial. my goal is to be a long-time survivor!!
