I just learned this morning I have breast cancer. I have an appointment with a surgeon from Sloane Kettering in NYC on 9/22, I have a consultation with a surgeon from Mineola NY on 9/14. Getting a mammogram was a fluke. I was hurt on my job and my pinky wasn't healing. I had severe bone loss from arthritis. I had to have my hands and feet xrayed, I decided to get my bone density, mamogram, and chest xray. My cancer is in my duct. The radiolist didn't give me a stage, in fact if it wasn't for this web site i wouldn't have known to call him back and ask him where in my breast it is. It is 3am I can't sleep yet . This is sureal. That is my story.
